How to permanently delete your Friends Track account, what we erase, and the limited records we are legally required to retain.
Last updated: 13 June 2026
At Friends Track (“we”, “our”, or “us”) we believe you should remain in full control of your personal data. You may permanently delete your account and associated personal information at any time, directly from within the app. This policy explains exactly how the deletion process works, what data is removed, what may be retained for legal compliance, and how long any retained records are kept.
You can request deletion in just a few steps from the app:
For your security, we may ask you to re-authenticate (for example, via OTP) before the request is processed. Once confirmed, the deletion process begins automatically — no email or phone call is required.
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data we hold about you, including:
Wherever technically possible, retained legal records (see Section 4) are anonymised or pseudonymised so they can no longer be used to directly identify you.
Certain records cannot be deleted immediately because we are legally and financially obliged to keep them. We retain only the minimum data necessary, strictly for the purposes below:
These records are retained for a maximum of 7 years, or for the period required by applicable law, after which they are securely and permanently destroyed. They are never used for marketing and are not shared except where the law requires it.
Your account is deactivated and you are signed out. You can no longer log in or book rides.
Your personal information, profile data, and uploaded content are permanently erased from our active systems.
Residual copies in secure encrypted backups are purged as part of our routine backup rotation.
Only legally required transaction and audit records are retained, then securely destroyed.
No. Deletion is permanent. Once your personal data has been erased it cannot be restored. To use the service again you will need to create a new account.
Tax, accounting, and financial regulations require us to retain proof of payments, invoices, and refunds for a defined period. This is a legal obligation and applies even after your account is deleted.
Wherever technically possible, retained records are anonymised or pseudonymised so they can no longer directly identify you. Where the law requires identifiable data to be kept, access is strictly limited and protected.
Personal information is removed from our active systems within 30 days. Encrypted backup copies are purged within 90 days. Only legally required records remain, for up to 7 years.
Please settle any dues and withdraw or use your wallet balance before deleting your account. Balances and pending settlements cannot be recovered once the account is deleted.
